Our guides exist to help you actually access Shenzhen's technology and manufacturing ecosystem. That is only useful if the information is accurate, current and honest. These are the standards every guide on this site follows.
We do not write about places from secondhand listings or other websites. A route, showroom, market or factory is only included after a member of our team has been there in person — checked how to get in, whether it still runs, how long it realistically takes, and whether it is worth your time. If a stop no longer delivers, we remove it or reroute rather than leave stale advice online.
Every guide is written and reviewed by a real person whose name appears on the page, and links to an author profile describing their experience. We don't publish unattributed, mass-produced content. The person writing about a factory visit or a robotics company is the same person who has actually arranged and walked those visits.
Time-sensitive facts — visa-free and transit rules, entry durations, opening hours, booking requirements and costs — are checked against official or primary sources wherever possible, such as government immigration and foreign-affairs sources and the venues themselves. Where a rule depends on your nationality or can change, we say so rather than present a single number as universal. We recommend you verify entry rules with official sources before travelling.
We distinguish clearly between verifiable facts (how a service works, what a visit requires) and our own judgement and recommendations. Our opinions are based on firsthand experience and are presented as such, not disguised as neutral fact.
Factories, companies, showrooms and markets cannot pay to be included, to receive a positive mention, or to be ranked above a better alternative. We will clearly label any sponsored content if it ever appears. We earn revenue from the tours and assistance services we deliver — not from selling coverage of the places we write about. Arranging a legitimate company visit through normal business channels never requires the visited company to pay for editorial coverage.
We don't invent customer ratings or attach aggregate scores to pages that have no genuine reviews behind them. When real, verified reviews exist, we may display them; until then we don't manufacture the appearance of social proof. Our product pages describe offers and prices honestly rather than padding them with fake scores.
Guides are reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis, and each page shows when it was last reviewed. Shenzhen's technology and China's entry policies change frequently, so we treat a guide as a living document rather than a one-off publication.
If we get something wrong, or you find a detail that is out of date, tell us and we will correct it. You can reach us at hello@techvoyagetours.com or on WhatsApp. We fix factual errors promptly and, where the correction matters, note what changed.
We aim to be the guide we would want to use: written from real visits, signed by a real author, honest about how we make money, and quick to correct mistakes. If a page ever falls short of that, we'd rather you tell us than find out the hard way.
If you'd like to know how a specific guide was researched or how a visit is arranged, ask us — we're happy to explain.
