TechVoyage runs small, private, English-guided tours of Shenzhen — the city where robotaxis already share the roads, drones deliver coffee to the pavement, and the world's most complete electronics supply chain sits a few blocks apart. Instead of reading about the future, you spend a few hours inside it.
Most visitors walk straight past the future. They see a robotaxi in the next lane but can't hail one; they look up at a delivery drone but can't order from it; they've heard Huaqiangbei is the electronics capital but get lost among its markets. The technology is everywhere — the access isn't. It's locked behind Chinese apps, real-name registration and a language barrier.
We started TechVoyage to remove that friction: one English-speaking guide, a small group of people you know, and a few hours to actually ride, order, touch and film what everywhere else only writes headlines about.
Two kinds of people run every TechVoyage tour, working together — that combination is what separates us from a standard city guide:
You get both: the depth of people from inside the industry, and the smoothness of a properly run tour.
The headline tech on the streets is only the surface. Through our local network we can, on request for private and business groups, arrange time inside the places most tourists never reach — electronics and advanced-manufacturing factories, tech-company offices and showrooms, and Shenzhen's major trade shows including the big electronics and high-tech fairs. Access depends on each company and the exhibition calendar, so tell us your interests early and we'll tell you what's genuinely possible rather than over-promising.
If you're considering relocating your family here, we can help you understand Shenzhen's international schools — arranging and accompanying you on school visits, walking you through the different options and the neighborhoods around them, and combining it with a look at where you might actually live. Admissions and places are decided by each school rather than by us, but we take away the friction of researching them from abroad. Tell us your children's ages and we'll suggest where to start.
TechVoyage was founded by Charles, a Shenzhen-based entrepreneur who has spent years working around the city's technology and supply-chain ecosystem. After watching too many overseas visitors leave having only glimpsed the future through a taxi window, he built the tour he wished already existed — the one that gets you inside.
Tell us your dates and group size — we'll build a route and answer your questions before you commit.
