Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern bookings made with TechVoyage ("we", "us") for private guided tours in Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area. By confirming a booking you agree to these Terms. If anything is unclear, ask us before you pay.

Who operates your tour

TechVoyage is the brand that designs and hosts your experience; tours are delivered together with licensed local travel partners and insured guides.

1. Booking & payment

• Contact us by WhatsApp or email with your dates, group size and interests. We confirm availability and send a proposal.
• A deposit of around 30% secures your date and guide; the balance is due before the tour starts. For last-minute bookings we may ask for payment in full.
• We accept PayPal and bank transfer. Any third-party payment or currency-conversion fees are paid by the sender.
• A booking is confirmed only after we receive the deposit and send written confirmation.

2. Pricing & what's included

• Prices are listed in US dollars on our Tours page and are private to your group. Additional guests follow the per-person rate shown, up to 6 guests unless agreed otherwise.
• Included: your English-speaking guide, the planned route, photos, and personal travel & medical insurance for every guest. Not included unless stated: meals, entry or experience fees, transport beyond the route, hotel pickup, personal spending and gratuities.
• Custom and multi-day itineraries are quoted separately. The price on your confirmed proposal is the price you pay.

3. Cancellation by you

• 7+ days before: full refund, including the deposit.
• 3–6 days before: 50% refund.
• Within 48 hours, or no-show: non-refundable.
• Cancel in writing; the cancellation date is when we receive your message.

4. Cancellation or change by us

• If we cannot run your tour (for example no guide is available and no replacement can be found), we offer a full refund or a rescheduled date.
• Robotaxi, drone and similar experiences are operated by third parties and depend on service areas, weather, regulation and queues. We may swap or adjust a specific stop without notice while keeping the overall value of the tour.

5. Rescheduling

Tell us at least 48 hours ahead and we'll move your booking once at no extra cost, subject to guide availability. Later changes may carry a fee.

6. Meeting point & punctuality

We share the meeting point and time in your confirmation. Please arrive on time; we can usually wait around 15 minutes. A late arrival that shortens the tour is not refunded.

7. Your responsibilities

• Follow Chinese laws and all safety instructions from your guide and third-party operators.
• Carry a valid passport and any required travel documents. For an EV test-drive you must hold a valid driving licence and meet the operator's requirements.
• You are responsible for your own belongings and for telling us about any health or mobility condition that may affect the tour.

8. Insurance

Two kinds of insurance protect your tour:

• Travel-agency liability insurance covers the operator and guides for their own negligence and is carried by our licensed travel partner.
• Personal travel & medical insurance is included for every guest, covering accidental injury, sudden illness and related emergency medical costs while you are with us; we send the policy details with your booking confirmation. It complements any longer-term cover you already hold.

9. Minors

Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the full tour.

10. Liability

TechVoyage acts as your guide and coordinator. Third-party services — robotaxis, drone delivery, EV operators, venues and transport — run under their own terms. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for loss is limited to the amount you paid for the tour, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss caused by third parties, force majeure or your own actions.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. We will first try to resolve any dispute in good faith.
